Modeled after Military Specifications: MIL-PRF-16173, Grade 4 and MIL-C-83933, our RP-342 is a heavily-concentrated rust preventive that is trusted by the U.S. Armed Forces, government agencies, commercial companies, and consumers alike.

To ensure the best possible adhesion, it is important to make sure that the surface is clean and dry, not oily or greasy. Shake each spray can vigorously for about 2 minutes before use to ensure a uniform coat. For longer application sessions, shake the aerosol cans intermittently.

Generously spray a uniform coating on the surface and let it dry. While a single coating provides exceptional protection, additional coats can be applied if desired. Always ensure that previous coats are completely dry before applying the next coat. Ideally, apply RP-342 over a non-rusted surface, but it can also be applied over moderate surface rust to prevent it from spreading. Do not apply over flaking or pitted rust; treat these types of rust before using RP-342.

The dry film thickness of the first application is typically 2.0 Mils (51 Microns). RP-342 is perfect for a wide range of applications, including vehicle undercarriages, parts and equipment storage, overseas transportation, heavy machinery, packaging, marine equipment, weapons storage, garden tools, and many more.
