Small Gas Tank Sealer and Rust Proofing Bundle

Make sure to repair and seal the metal fuel tanks of your motorcycle, generator, water pump with this fuel tank restoration product. It is designed to eliminate rust, corrosion, and seal pinhole leaks, making your fuel tank resistant to additives and fuels with superior strength. The kit includes 8 fl oz of silver fuel tank sealer, which is enough to coat a six-gallon tank.

Follow these steps for optimal use: Step 1: Start by removing internal components, plastic parts, old sealers, and loose rust from the tank. Repair any holes. Mix 1 quart of Cleaner Degreaser with 1 quart of warm water to create a cleaning solution for the inside of the tank. Pour the solution into the tank, cover the openings, and shake the tank for 30 minutes. You can also add a chain or nuts and bolts to help remove rust and varnish. Repeat with a 2nd quart of Cleaner Degreaser if needed. Empty the tank.

Step 2: Pour Metal Prep into the tank to dissolve rust, coat it with zinc phosphate, and etch the metal for better adhesion of the sealer. Rotate the tank to ensure all surfaces are coated. Change the tank's position every half hour until the entire inside has been treated. Rinse the tank thoroughly with warm water, ensuring no water is left in low spots, and dry it completely with warm air from a hair dryer or hot air gun.

Step 3: Before sealing, ensure the tank is completely dry inside. Open the POR-15 Fuel Tank Sealer, stir it until it turns silver, and pour the entire contents into the tank. Slowly roll the tank to coat the insides uniformly and pour out the excess. Let it cure for 96 hours before adding fuel. Note that this product is not suitable for use on plastic.

This kit includes POR-15 Cleaner Degreaser to remove gum, sludge, varnish, POR-15 Metal Prep to remove rust and prepare the tank, and POR-15 Fuel Tank Sealer to create a permanently sealed tank from the inside. It is suitable for coating the inside of fuel tanks up to a six-gallon capacity and resists all consumer-grade fuels.
